MEMORIES REVISITED

Drawing inspiration from some of my favorite early pieces, the Memories Revisited mini-series is a collection of landscape paintings that mirror old work from a time in my life when painting became a therapeutic escape from what felt like a chaotic and confusing world.  My paintings then, and now, are expressions of the self.  Rethinking these older paintings is like revisiting the person I was when I painted them.  It is a bittersweet reflection on healing, growth, and the passing of time.  After an unintentionally long break from painting on canvas, painting this series felt like coming home.
